Materials: 14 plastic coolers found in the dump, paddle found in the dump, ratchet-straps found on the side of the road and in the dump, flag on pole found on the road, boat bumper floats and line found along the harbor, handles, patches, rope and row locks from a discarded inflatable boat, and lifejacket made with canvas from discarded beach lounge chairs, trashed foam sheets and road straps and buckle

Implementing a mechanism of survival is not a safe feeling; it is one of risk and uncertainty and maybe just barely making it. The solo nature of this work and many of my pieces reflect my extreme independence as a trauma response. It contains a longing for trust in the universe, in humanity and political systems to help and protect when needed.
